Israel Castaneda
Director of Bands Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School CISD icastaneda@lcmcisd.org Israel became Director of Bands for Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD in July 2022. He joined the LCM CISD staff after graduating from Lamar University in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Lamar University, Israel served as a drum major for the Showcase of Southeast Texas. Israel was also involved with the Lamar Wind Ensemble and the Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. In the summers of 2016 and 2017 Israel marched with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Israel's professional memberships include the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association. |
Jesse Winecoff
Director Mauriceville Middle School jwinecoff@lcmcisd.org Jesse joined the LCM CISD in 2015. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina with his Bachelors degree in Music Education and received a Masters of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Wyoming. Jesse also studied abroad at the University College Cork in Cork, Ireland. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. |
Dan Wilhelm
Director Little Cypress Junior High School dwilhelm@lcmcisd.org Dan is the Director of Bands for Little Cypress Jr. High. Prior to teaching at LCM, he taught in Jasper for four years where he was the Director of the Sixth-Grade Band, Junior High Symphonic Band and was also the percussion instructor for the district. He received his Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana University, and his Masters in Wind Band Conducting from Texas Christian University. Dan is a member of Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association. |
Marcus James
Associate Director Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School and Mauriceville Middle School A native of Orange County, Marcus joined the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Band staff in July 2022. Prior to his time at LCM, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lamar University in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at Lamar University, Marcus performed for the Showcase of Southeast Texas Marching Band and was the principal euphonium of the Lamar University Wind Ensemble. Marcus is a brother of the Eta Mu chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and his professional memberships include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, and the Texas Bandmasters Association. He is also currently working as the Assistant Director of Sacred Music at St. Anthony's Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont. Marcus loves to read, cook, and spend time at home with his wife, Kaitlyn, whom he married in 2021. |
Pearce Martin
Associate Director Little Cypress Junior High School and Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Pearce joined the LCM staff in 2022. He is a 2022 Cum Laude graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Music Education. He was principal tubist with the UL Wind Ensemble, UL Symphony Orchestra, Echelon Brass Quintet for several years. He also sang in the UL Chorale and UL Chamber Singers. While in the Chamber Singers, he was privileged to participate in and win with the choir in the Cardiff International Choral Festival in 2021. In 2022, he earned the honor of being a member of the 11th Music Technology Leadership Academy. He was one of thirteen selected in the world for this Academy. He is an alumni member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Fraternity. Pearce was a member of the Louisiana Stars (2015 and 2016) , the Blue Knights (2017), and Phantom Regiment (2018 and 2019). where he aged out as section leader. |
Brittany Stevenson
Fine Arts Secretary Little Cypress - Mauriceville CISD bstevenson@lcmcisd.org Brittany joined the program in 2022. She comes with a wide range of business experience and has a strong administrative background. Brittany has volunteered for a wide range of programs including Parent Teacher Organizations, Girl Scouts and Fine Arts programs. Brittany lives in Orange with her two girls Abigail and Allison. |
